OPEN HOURS: Nature Center
Description: The Nature Center at Ney Park will be open for general viewing during the hours of 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays during the months of January, February, and through March 15, 2008. You're welcome to ski the trails and explore the indoor displays. Cost: No charge.

Birds of Prey
Description: Speaker: University of Minnesota Raptor Center. What are birds of prey? What is their role in the environment? This informative program will provide answers to these and other questions. The presentation will feature three live owls. Cost: No charge.

Backyard Birding
Description: David Grack from Hamline University invites you to come learn about birds taht spend winter in Minnesota. The program includes winter bird identification, tips for attracting birds to your yard, and time observing birds at the feeding station. Cost: $5/person. Class maximum 35. Bug Show
Description: Speaker: “Bruce, The Bug Guy." The BUG Show is a unique hands-on and ENTO-taining educational program that features a wide assortment of living and preserved insects and related arthropods. This interactive program is kept lively with humor, fun props, and occasional "surprises" -- making it enjoyable for people of all ages and abilities. Cost: $5/Person. Maximum class size 35. Minnesota Starwatch Class
Description: Speaker: WCCO Meteorologist Mike Lynch. Make the stars your old friends as we watch the great celestial show in the skies over Wright County. This night with the stars, constellations, planets, star clusters, galaxies, and nebulae starts off with an indoor orientation followed by quality time outdoors under the heavens. We will use large reflecting telescopes, including a giant 20 inch reflector, which is one of the biggest mobile telescopes in Minnesota, for a close up and personal look at wonders in our winter skies. Star charts and handouts will be provided. Max. class size is 40. Cost is $12 per person or $25 per family (ages 8 and up). Pre-registration is required. Snowshoe Adventure
Description: It is time to discover winter's wonders off the beaten path as we venture to and through areas accessible only by snowshoe during the winter. Join local naturalist David Grack on this snowshoe trek through Robert Ney Regional Park. Either bring your own snowshoes or reserve a pair from the Nature Center. Cost: $5/person. Class maximum 20. Dog Sledding
Description: Speaker: Stoffel (Dutch) Reitsma, an avid musher invites you to join us in learning about the exciting sport of dog sledding. You will then head to the trails to experience the trill of being pulled on a sled by a team of Siberian Huskies along the wooded trails of Ney Park. End your outing with a cup of hot cocoa or cider. It is very important that everyone come dressed for the weather. Min. class size is 10, Max. class size 20 (May have an extra session). Cost is $10 per person. Pre-registration is required. Candlelight Ski
Description: Join us at Ney Park for a great night of cross-country skiing. Luminaries will help provide light to the groomed trail. The Nature Center will be open for refreshments, and a fire outside will help warm your toes! Participants provide their own skies. Rentals are not available. NO CHARGE

Wood Working for Wildlife
